Outcomes - what we have achieved

The DirectSupport programme has fulfilled the targets set, and exceeded them in many cases.

Direct Support has now run 6 phases of its Programme (since November 2000) as well as two additional programmes: CuriosIT and TargIT (12 months each)

Outcomes to July 2006
(including 6 Phases of Main Programme, and TargIT)

bullet 3,000 calls to the helpline

bullet contact with over 1,500 centres in all

bullet Over 1,400 centres have registered for a DirectSupport Online account

bullet DirectSupport Online resources viewed over 7,000 times in the last 12 months

bullet 300 organisations have received significant on-going help

bullet 250 centres/groups assisted with mentor visits and action plans

bullet In excess of 1,000 mentors days of support provided

bullet A team of 40 - 60 community mentors built and deployed at grass roots level, linked via ICT

CuriosIT
Nearly 80 new 'fun' activities researched, published and updated for 2006.

TargIT
£2million in grants of £20,000 distributed to 100 new UK online centres based in community and voluntary organisations; all bids submitted by email and distributed and assessed in electronic format.

The future
Partnership working with Ufi and other stakeholders will continue into 2007.

through its wholly owned subsidiary RNUK Ltd
